TEARDROP2: teardrop

Well, since everyone else is doing this, I might as well follow suit lol... Nickname is Teardrop...and some ask why...it's really a sappy little tale of me and not being able to cry so I wear the name teardrop proudly as if my tears are always with me :) Real name is Jen short for Jenny. I'm 25, live in North Carolina (yes...in the south with a twang accent) lol. I'm married and have a 3 year old son, Noah. We have a Golden Retriever named Hannah. I was born just north of Charlotte where I unfortunately still reside lol. Raised mostly by my grandparents shy of the few years I spent living with my mom and stepdad (5 to 13) and for a short month in a foster home. Life has definetly been .. umm strange. I've never met my real dad. I graduated highschool in 1995. From there, I went to Paramedic school but dropped out cause I couldn't afford it. I began volunteering with our local fire department and rescue squads back in 1996. In 1997, my grandpa (who was also my best friend and the only real family I had) passed away. The next year, my grandma gave me the boot and I was homeless until my assistant chief and his family offered their home to me. Shortly after moving there, I found my own place and moved there with my dogs (Tippie & Bailey). My grandma died in 1999. I worked for about a year as a 911 dispatcher, then went to work fulltime for the fire department as a professional firefighter (my dream job)!! I worked there for about a year before having to go on light duty due to being pregnant. Let me tell ya...those were some freaked out guys I worked with lol...they had never worked with a pregnant female firefighter before hehe!! They didn't even know what to do when I told them I was pregnant :) Anyway, I worked light duty till Noah was born in May, 2000. After Noah's birth, I gave up the fire department :( Hubby is also a fulltime firefighter and I felt it wasn't fair to Noah for both of us to be working that type job so I opted to give it up. After that, I worked as a teacher assistant, dialysis technician, and EMT with our EMS. Now, I'm a work at home mom. I just recently started my own Web Design business out of our home and hopefully it will help provide a little money to my broke family. I lost my dog Tippie who was 12 last summer. Had her since I was 13. This summer, we found a new home for our dog Bailey. Now we are left with our Golden, Hannah, one of Hannah's pups and one of Baileys pups..but are seeking homes for the 2 pups. (let me know if you want one!!! they are lab/retriever mix) hehe :) Well, that's the gist of my life...all summed up in a nice little short post lol. Some of yall know me better than that, some of yall didnt know me this well so anyway...good to get to know more about everyone :) Edited to say...Oh yeah...and I play softball!! Have played for about 15 years now and loved every minute of it :)
