Ok. I'm 22 years old when I wrote this. I've been on
Delphi since March 1993 and been playing trivia with these
lunatics on Delphi since June 1993. I don't think that I would
be here if I didn't go to OC Bash IV(?) in June '93. There I met
most of the people that made this trivia thing tick on Delphi --
most of whom defected from another service to continue the
trivial pursuit without restraints of an obviously blind and
bloated management. (but I would really know for sure -- I never
really found out what the cause of the whole disturbance was. Oh
well). Hmm may be I should write more about myself other then
what most people know from just being on Delphi.
I live in a medium sized town called Madison in New Jersey.
I was born and raised in the next town over, Chatham, but I moved
out at the beginning of December 1992 because I needed to get out
of the house before I became a top story on CNN about killing my
whole family due to temporary insanity. Don't get me wrong, I
love my family, but with a younger sister entering puberty and my
parents entering their middle aged lives, they would all push me
over the edge.
Personal Stuff
--------------
I'm a fun loving sort of guy and I'm quite mature for my
age. People honestly think I'm in my late twenties early
thirties when they first meet me. If I was to go in to my
personal philosophies this would be a book so I won't go in to
them, but I think I'm quite liberal in most thing but
conservative in a few other. I'm not really religious -- born a
Roman Catholic, but currently non-practicing. I consider myself
an intellectual. I tend to see things in a different light then
most people my age. I really can't stand the way that some of my
"friends" carry on in that childish sort of manner that you'd
expect from a 2 yr old. I hated High school and I love college.
I love parties, I love women (I do treat women like people not
like things for guys to play with), sex is cool, love to meet new
people, I'm a good natured sort of guy, I get along with most
people, I love kids, love to travel, love music, love movies. I
really don't know what else to say.
Schooling & Work
----------------
After I graduated from good and boring Chatham High in
1990, I went to the New Jersey Institute of Technology where I
attended for two years before the University decided it was best
to let me go because my GPA at the time was 1.81 -- I needed a
2.0 to stay in the school. Talk about fussy! After that I just
really bummed around the house. I was talking about going back
to school but I really had no set plan. I've since gotten my act
together and I'm attending the County College of Morris -- for
now. My plan is to take the university requirements for Rutgers
there and then transfer to Rutgers to finish out my degree in
Computer Science. Right now I still consider myself a student
working at Foodtown part-time until I graduate and get the 70K
per year job programming for some company. Right now I'm working
as a Courtesy Clerk/Cashier. ( I hate my job)
Hobbies
-------
I love computers! I really really love computers and new
technologies. I'm really fascinated by all that stuff that AT&T
is going to come out with in the next few years. I love
programming and have used the ProComm for Windows ASPECT script
language to write a little utility for the "/send" (/zend)
command in the conference areas. I would really like to turn out
some really cool application that would get me noticed but I
really can't think up anything that would -- right now.
I collect comics too. I collect mainly DC comics -- the
Super titles -- the Bat titles and al few others. I used to
spend $30 - $40 a week on comics but I got smart (and became more
and more poor) and my spending is down to $10-$20 a week.
I also play guitar and bass and a little keyboards. I've
been playing bass for 10 years -- guitar I really only fool
around on and I only fiddle on the keyboards. I used to be in a
band -- a really good band at that! -- but they turned really
hippie at the time the Greatful Dead came back in 1987 and I was
eventually kicked out because I didn't turn hippie -- oh well.
I was in a few other smaller type bands after that but nothing
that lasted more than one or two times playing out. I'm not in
any band right now -- I have no time -- But I still do pick up
the guitar and "write" these songs that I'll forget in a few
minutes. Oh, I also play the clarinet. I was in the high school
marching and concert bands. Marching band was really great! Not
that I'm a band fag or anything. Anybody that was in a marching
band would know that I'm talking about (I hope).
I also do/did a little writing. I have a composition book
full of little poems that I've written earlier in my life. And I
also have about 50 pages of a book written. I have outlines for
a few book ideas but they'll never come to light until I get my
butt in gear and sit down and write them.
well this is all I can think of for now...
LAter!
