anyone out.
A few have been up and around this morning but not that many. Must have
been that late night excursion to see the comet at sometime between 4AM and
5AM that did them in. YRS :)

     BASH :)
     From: BILLP49 To: ALL

Well I am home from the Bash now.
    A few random notes.
It was another great time of seeing members who have participated before
and meeting new ones. Kudos to StarkMad for organizing it.
Arlene did make it back from her aunt's funeral in Schnectady (sp?,
spellink don't kont) to get to the hotel around 8PM last night.
Altogether there were 21 of us there.
In contrast to other years there were no desktop computers in the
conference room, Friday night an AOL'ers laptop was used for Bashers to check
their mail and play. Saturday night that was in use otherwise and Sparky
brought down his laptop to the conference room so there were OC-Bashers in each
of the Saturday games.
There were no big winners at the casinos in Atlantic City but Will was
going to stop there on his way home today so there is still a chance.
Howard Stern's _Private Parts_ were on display for those who went to the
movie on Saturday afternoon, that was followed by a trip to Ocean Blues to
check out the CD bargins.
PaulRogoff and I are now music geeks knowing who Marilyn Manson is.
Saturday night a number trooped outside to get a glimpse of the comet.
I went down almost to the ocean's edge later to get a good view of the
northwestern sky and got a very good view of it.
BenH was accompanied by Valerie; WTG Ben!!, very nice girl.
Enigma was the first to leave today, immediately after the brunch; he has a
long drive back to Ohio.
HQR will be staying a few more days in Ocean City since his school is on
vacation this week, a few days of quiet relaxation after the bash.
I am sure I have forgotten to note something, maybe other attendees
will chime in.

  :)

It was another great bash! Those of you who were able to attend made it a fun
weekend, and those of you who didn't, well, there's always next year. (And
there will be a next year. For the first time that I can remember, Stark did
not say "I'm never doing this again.")

No bash post would be complete without thanks to Stark for again organizing
the bash. While the rest of us are relaxing, Stark spends his bash weekends
doing all of those big and little things that allow the rest of us to have a
good time. Thanks also to those late-stayers and early-risers who helped
clean up the bash conference room; I think it's safe to say that we left a
more favorable impression on Port O Call management than we did last year! ;)

My only regret is that it didn't last longer, but like I said, there's next
year. Unless Stark was kidding when someone asked him about OC 8, he already
has the date set! :D

Just wanted to add Frood and My Thanks to Stark for all his efforts.
It was another wonderful Bash! And we're already looking forward to
the next one.

Bill and all,

It was indeed a fine bash. It was great to see those who were
present. My praise and homage to Stark for his fine organization job. And
I probably would have stayed down there a few more days, but the renovation
work was really noisy, and I did not fancy listening to that for another
day.

Yeesh...ya get married and suddenly your spouse thinks he can speak for
you! ;)

I would like to offer my personal comments about the Bash...I had a great
time! Stark is getting better and better at organizing it all - thanks
Stark! The dinner Friday night was not only tasty, it was comfy. All
restaurants should have such comfy chairs. They were so comfy that we nearly
lost Fortunat0 and Closr under the table.

Howard - no, I didn't hear Stark say "I'll never do this again!". In fact,
the quote I got was "I'll be doing this til I'm 60". So I guess that means
we'll be set for another couple of years. ;) Too bad he can't arrange for
a comet every year!

Bill - I can't believe HQR would stay another couple of nights at Port O'Call.
Not if he wanted to get any rest, that is. Waking up to the sound of a
dentist's drill behind your headboard at 8am doesn't sound very relaxing. At
least it should look pretty spiffy for next year?

Private Parts - best viewed with Triviots. Those poor kids....

As always, I enjoyed seeing familiar faces again...and even met a couple of
new ones. Any other triviots out there who haven't been to a Bash, you
don't know what you're missing. You HAVE to try this!

Warming in the After-Bash glow,

Frood ;)

P.S. I see HQR changed his mind about staying after all....

As usual it was a great festival! It was wonderful to see everyone, especially
Bengfer! The smaller group was also nice - less to clean up after ;)

It was a great time, the weather was cooperative and so were the slot
machines!

Thank you Stark, once again for a fine job. We'll see everyone next
year...when we stay til monday ;)

     BASH
     From: PAULROGOFF To: ALL

It was great being at another bash! Will was relieved that Enigma
(Scott) took his place as the newbie since the triviot with the least
bashes always pays for Sunday brunch ;)

In any event, Starkmad must be thanked for his tireless efforts and
fine skills at making bashes so successful. His order of sunshine
was processed by a higher authority than the Port-O-Call desk
clerk and, therefore, was successfully delivered Thursday afternoon,
lasting until the end of the bash.

Paul

P.S. - While you may not want to know Manny's dreams, I thought
you might be interested in this from alt.soc.dreams. Hundreds of years
from now, archeologists dig in the pine barrens of New Jersey and uncover
a stone tablet. They hypothesize that this is a monument to the
Delphi Trivia Club who assembled somewhere on the nearby Jersey
shore through the year 2091. On the stone tablet appears the
following:

                    NOLITE TERGUM VERTERE

Almost simultaneously with this discovery, in a shady Marlton NJ field,
a hard drive is discovered. Through a great deal of manipulation, a
readable file is recreated, appearing to be a forum post from the Delphi
Galaxian Trivia Club:
