200. Elias1 Porter Sr., born Mar 1756 in VA(?WV?), died 4 Nov 1848 in 
Randolph Co. IN.  He served in the American Revolutionary War from
Virginia for which he was later granted a pension and appears on the 
tax rolls of Hampshire Co. VA(now WV) from 1782 to 1792.  From at
least 1802 through the early 1830s he was in Clermont Co. OH, later
going to Randoph Co. IN where he appears in the 1840 census.
He married 1) Frederick Co. VA, 28 Feb 1786 Margaret Sly

married 2) Frederick Co. VA, 9 Oct 1800 Nancy Davis

         were in Randolph Co. IN 1830-1834 and in Wayne Co. IN in 1835.

married 3) Clermont Co. OH, 8 Dec 1816 Mary Howard b. VA 1777/8.
