Tioga Co. PA c1844 Flavia Giddings b. Tioga Co. PA 21 Sep 1821, d. bet. 1860 
and 1870, daughter of Chester and Isabel(Ives)Giddings.  He and his family 
left Pennsylvania immediately after the Civil War i.e. c1866, stayed for 
awhile in Illinois; it seems to have been from this point that the family 
dispersed, one son (Brayton) was in Nebraska as early as 1877, another 
(Erastus) was still in eastern IA (Jackson Co.) in 1880. George himself 
was, in 1880, in Liberty twp(Keokuk)IA with his future second wife and her 
mother, in the household of his brother-in-law Watson Barklow and his wife. 
He was living in Tilden by 1890.

          in 1870 they were in Loran twp(Stephenson)IL with Solomon working 
          as a carpenter, he bought 40 acres of land in Loran twp on 13 Sep 
          1870, from 1880 to at least 1885 they were living in York Co. NE 
          where they had a homestead, in 1883 she was a witness at her brother
          Byron's marriage, in 1885 they were in Bradshaw twp and owned a 120 
          acre farm growing corn and rye and had 2 mules, 9 milk cows, 36 
          swine, and 12 barnyard fowl; by 1900 they were living in Colorado 
          Springs(El Paso)CO, in 1910 he was in Colorado Springs(EL Paso)CO 
          working as a carpenter;
          Both Sarah and Solomon are buried in Fairview Cemetery, 
          Colorado Springs(El Paso)CO.
