INTRODUCTION

	There have been two works distributed dealing with aspects of this family:

   Kruse, Robert L.  A Branch of the Kruse Family Tree (1974)
       this covers the family from c1670 up to the immigrants.
   Kruse, Ruberta  The Descendants of Johann and Ursula Kruse (1987)
       this covers the family from the immigrants forward.

	What is presented here slightly augments both.

	My Kuhl writeup introduction deals with the general geographical area
and its history.  The villages these Kruses immigrated from were just outside 
of the the boundaries of the Probstei;  Flueggendorf was approximtately eight miles 
south west of Stakendorf, the home village of the Kuhls.  
	In this work I have treated forenames in the same manner as in the Kuhl 
booklet.
